Dutch-based Lexone Picks Feeport for Automatic Customs Clearance of Ecommerce

Lexone B.V., a logistics and ecommerce provider with deep roots in South Korea operating at the international hub between Amsterdam Schiphol airport and Rotterdam Container Terminal, has recently selected Feeport’s x7trade platform from Estonia for automated customs clearance of low-value ecommerce goods.

Since 2018 Lexone has been operating own office and modern warehouse facility in the Netherlands. The core competence of the company is to connect and engage businesses between South Korea and Europe. For that purpose, Lexone closely cooperates with KOTRA – Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and aims to be a key provider for South Korean ecommerce sellers seeking comprehensive logistics solutions in Europe.

“E-Commerce and logistics are rapidly growing to take a much greater role in the world, and we’ve seen the trend at its extreme through this tragic pandemic in the last two years. Even without that, it seems quite clear that diverse cultures throughout the world interact more and more, and products naturally follow this trend as well,” says Mr. Minsang Kim, e-Commerce, Customs and Compliance Manager at Lexone.

“Based on our experience in 3PL service, we have a mission to introduce high quality South Korean product to Benelux and to the rest of Europe and contribute to people’s wide interaction and trade exchange between Europe and Asia. We’ve got a good impression from Feeport as they are ready to contribute to enhancing efficiency in this business via their automated customs solution, and we hope to grow further together with this new partnership,” adds Mr. Kim.

“To be present in the European logistics key hub where a lion’s share of cargo and ecommerce is processed, opens a new chapter in our company’s history. Ecommerce imports also tend to concentrate in that area and given massive volumes of ecommerce parcels, the only way to customs clear them is through automatization. It is also very exciting for Feeport to help Lexone with automatic customs clearance of ecommerce goods coming from the South Korea known for its quality and originality,”  says co-founder of Feeport Mr. Egor Paanukoski.
